Job Summary
Pipeline is looking for a Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist/Instructor who can use their experience and expertise to develop curriculum, implement interventions and programs aimed at identifying and preventing mental and behavioral health issues and other high-risk behaviors among children 8-12 years of age. Your primary focus will be working with the children in Pipeline’s Family Matters: Creating Kid Connections After School Program.
This position demands a unique blend of your expertise, your excitement for the job, your leadership abilities and your creative skills. You will develop the educational materials and resources to promote Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) that help children navigate their emotions, build positive relationships and handle life’s challenges. You will be an SEL instructor and a role model for portions of Pipeline’s in-house after-school program. Although your primary focus will be with the children 8-12 years of age in our Monday – Friday in-house program, you will have an opportunity to contribute to developing our community outreach afterschool program.
The best candidate for the Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist/Instructor position must be community oriented, creative and willing to “step out of the box” when working with challenging children with social-emotional learning concerns; you will join a creative Team effort, however you will also work independently and multi-task when needed.
Whether you are a seasoned professional looking to refine your career goals as a Behavioral Health Prevention Specialist or a newcomer eager to make a substantive impact on community health, you can make an impact through this dynamic role as a Prevention Specialist.
