Job Title: Multimedia Journalist Telemundo - WFOX TV

Position Overview

Telemundo Jacksonville is looking for a bi-lingual Multimedia Journalist! The Multimedia Journalist presents daily news content for Telemundo Jacksonville as well as content on digital and social media focusing on weather, breaking news, investigative and impactful news that matters to our viewers most.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to write and speak Spanish
• Demonstrate the ability to enterprise original stories, with unique voices and content that drives newscast viewing; demonstrate the ability to develop sources and work a beat
• Create breaking news content effectively and communicate to the newsroom in a timely manner, and update weather content when weather conditions warrant
• Demonstrate the ability to shoot and edit video, write scripts, and effectively communicate live on-air
• Work closely with other newsroom staff and ensure timely delivery of content
• Generate story ideas daily
• Shoot and edit video, write scripts, and effectively communicate live on-air
• Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards, ensuring that reporting is fair, accurate and unbiased
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Must stay abreast of current affairs and have a wide range of working knowledge and understanding of general interest subject 

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiarity with digital media tools, video editing software, and social media platforms is essential
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills for effective storytelling
• Ability to develop unique angles and compelling narratives that engage audiences
• Proficient in conducting interviews and gathering information from various sources to support news stories
• Must be bilingual

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in local TV news is preferred
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Journalism or Communications preferred
