Job Description

Kundel Industries is looking for an in-house HR Recruiter/Coordinator that would like to grow into a larger HR role as an HR Generalist. This is not an entry level position You must have prior recruiting experience, foundational HR knowledge (especially in compliance) and experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Candidates with an aPHR certification are encouraged to apply, as this is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract talent across technical, executive, campus, and internal recruitment channels.
  • Create ongoing partnerships with local trade schools and colleges/universities, maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Conduct thorough interviews, employing behavioral and competency-based techniques to assess candidate fit and potential.
  • Manage the entire hiring process.
  • Negotiate employment offers and contracts while maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide strategic talent management advice.
  • Coordinate employee orientation programs, onboarding processes, and employee evaluation initiatives to foster engagement and retention.
  • Stay informed on employment law updates and HR best practices to ensure all recruiting activities adhere to legal standards.
  • Maintain compliant job descriptions and update as directed.
  • Support training and development initiatives as required.
  • Participate in and lead training initiatives for supervisors, leaders, and managers.
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.

The ideal candidate will develop skills to enable them to manage responsibilities such as:

  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date.
  • Investigating employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Maintain HR systems and processes.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in full cycle recruiting within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing offers effectively while maintaining positive candidate relationships.
  • Expertise in technical recruiting for specialized roles requiring in-depth research and sourcing techniques.
  • Familiarity with employment & labor law compliance, contracts management, and employee relations practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage candidates via social media management tools and cold calling strategies.
  • Knowledge of sales principles applied within recruitment contexts—lead generation for talent pools—and experience supporting training & development programs are advantageous.
