The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides essential clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care. This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and a commitment to supporting patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant
Assist providers with patient care, procedures, and examinations
Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and clinical data
Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and policy
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using an electronic medical record system
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
Adhere to all safety, compliance, and infection control standards
Certification:
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
Licensure:
Active state license/certification required
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of Medical Assistant experience required
Schedule Requirements:
Ability to work 40 hours per week
Rotating day and evening shifts
Weekend availability required
BLS/BCLS required
ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT preferred (as applicable)
Holiday coverage required
Holiday pay applies only if the shift begins on the recognized holiday
This position does not require advance state contracting specific to certain public health systems
